B12 : Easy everyday energising green smoothie recipe

I discovered this healthy energising green smoothie recipe when I was looking for an easy way to add vitamin B12 on a daily basis to my vegan diet. And since then, it has become an essential part of my morning routine. 

B12 energising smoothie : what is it ?

It is an exceptional vitamin and is really important for us to integrate this in a plant based diet. This vitamin supports the normal function of your nerve cells and is needed for red blood cell transformation and DNA synthesis.  The human body requires smaller amounts of this on a daily basis compared to other known vitamins. Though as a Vegan we must make sure to consume enough of it, since it is mainly found in meat, egg and dairy products.

Energising vegan B12 sources

You can have this vitamin in tablet forms, however I believe that it is always better to integrate it in your meals; you can for example add it to your lunch and dinner with a few spoons of organic nutritional yeast. This healthy energising green smoothie recipe that I am sharing with you today, combines B12 with other superfood goodness. It is easy, delicious and you can personalised it to your taste, wonderful no ? 

The main ingredient is the Greens Blend powder from Naturya. It is a great blend of healthy greens and the ultimate cocktail of vitamins; rich in protein, iron, zinc, and fibre, as it is made with some nutriment rich ingredients such as : 

  • Wheatgrass and Barleygrass 
  • Spirulina 
  • Chorella 
  • Hemp protein powder

Follow these simple steps and make your own super green smoothie!

Ingredients :

  • 2 tsp of Naturya’s Green Blend powder
  • 1 Apple
  • 1/2 Mango
  • 1/2 Orange 

Add ginger or lemon to taste 

Blend all the ingredient in the mixer until smooth, if you do not have access to a blender, you can use fruit juices of your choice, but to my experience citrus fruit juices tend to work better the sweeter fruit juice options !
