In the busy world we live in today, we often find it hard to include a pamper routine in our tight schedules. However, self love is very important and everyone needs to take some time out of their day, week or month to tick off some activities on their self care checklist. Taking some time to pamper yourself has been proven to reduce anxiety and stress, to enable you to replenish yourself. Everyone must remember to relax, unwind and look after themselves.
Quiet/Alone Time in Your Pamper Routine
Whether this is in the morning or the evening will have the same effect. Take some time out of your day to be alone with yourself. This allows you to think properly and process your thoughts and feelings. Many people find it beneficial to write in journals, but others may just prefer to reflect in the company of their own mind instead.
Exercise the Body and Mind
There is nothing more relaxing than being able to take some time out for yourself and benefit from moving your body or engaging your mind. Try waking up before your responsibilities every morning to enable you 10 or 15 minutes to engage in some morning exercise, yoga, meditation or stretching. This will allow you to slowly wake up in an unrushed routine and relax before a day of stressful responsibilities.
Nourish Yourself with Food
Food is medicine. By putting the right food in your body is another way in which you can enhance your pamper routine. Getting the right nutrients, minerals and vitamins is vital to a healthy body. Many people often associate cooking with being rushed and stressful activity. However, by being organised and calm, it is so enjoyable and therapeutic.
Hydration Is Key
Hydration is key when going through your self care checklist. Whether that’s through hot or cold drinks is completely up to you. Hot and cold water based drinks will help boost skin health and beauty, as well as nourishing the brain and flushing out body waste.
